Vietnamese studies centre has been founded in 1989 thank to some scholars, students and Italian and Vietnamese supporters, under the directing of Ettore Masina, Giuseppe Morosini and Sandra Scagliotti, intending to spread in Italy the history-knowledge of Vietnamese culture and arts. Our programs: research activities, publishing and divulgations; scientific and cultural cooperation plants directed to promote exchanges between universities, organizations, Vietnamese and international experts for the studying, training and research, of young Italian students and Vietnamese students interested in both countries. The CSV holds “Enrica Collotti Pischel” Library, involved exclusively in Viet Nam and South East Asia with books, Vietnamese reviews and journals - in European languages and Vietnamese - mainly focused on historical, social-political, economical literary and gender themes. The Library, supported and funded by Regione Piemonte and Italian Ministry of Culture, is going to be connected to the National Librarian System. CSV publish Quaderni vietnamiti, monographs on Viet Nam and South East Asia and Mekong, in cooperation with Italia-Viet Nam Friendship Association. The books present some articles in Italian with abstract in English and French.
